Daily Pill Lowers Odds for Infection With HIV

TUESDAY, Nov. 23 (HealthDay News) — A pill a day cut the risk of HIV infection by almost 44% in those at highest risk for contracting the virus, namely sexually active gay and bisexual men, a new study finds.

The reduction in risk climbed to nearly 73% among study participants who took the pill, called Truvada, 90% of the time, the researchers added. Truvada is already available by prescription in the United States as a treatment for HIV-infected people.

The pill, which was tested in over 2,500 men at 11 sites in six countries worldwide, combines two HIV antiretroviral medications, emtricitabine (Emtriva) and tenofovir (Viread).

Experts are hailing the results as a big step in the worldwide effort to combat the spread of the HIV virus, which infected some 2.7 million people worldwide in 2008.

Review: USPlabs Jack3d & Side Effects

I’m no stranger to pre-workout supplements. I have tried several different ones and up until now, BSN’s NO Xplode was always my favorite. When I’m mixing mine I think I use between 6 and 8 ounces of water and I get the perfect taste for me. Some pe

One thing is for sure – you need to be sure that what you are buying is what it says on the tin, and to be able to do that you should always make sure that you are buying from a trusted site. This is normally fairly easy to tell, but try to see if the site is linked to anything that you think will give you an indication that it is on the up and up.

Another thing that is incredibly important when you are looking into body building supplements is to assess exactly what you need and what you should take. The best way to do this is to find forums online where you can find anecdotal evidence of what has worked for other people who are of a similar body type to you. O Continue reading…
