Below are the events for the Strongest Strength Coach Event at the 2011 PA Strength and Conditioning Clinic at Juniata College on June 17, 2011.
Log Clean and Press for Reps
The Log will start on the ground, weighing roughly 150-lbs. The coach will pick the log up and clean it to his/her shoulder and from there Press/Push Press/Jerk it to the locked out position overhead for a GOOD call. For each subsequent rep, the log should taken back below the waste and then cleaned and pressed again. There will be a one-minute time limit.
The “Beast In The East” Steel Bending Comp Promoted by Mike Krahling Submitted by Mike Rinderle
The Beast in the East Steel Bending Competition will be held this Saturday, May 14th, at 10AM. Some of the best steel benders in the United States will be converging on Exton, PA to compete for hundreds of dollars in cash and prizes.
There will be unbraced, braced, and horseshoe bending events that will leave the most well rounded bender of steel standing atop the podium when the dust settles.
First prize is $200 in cash and $50 in calibrated bending stock. The

Yes my dear readers I am still seeking someone to tell me that NOT eating breakfast is okay. Many of you know that not eating breakfast is my weakness. I dislike most breakfast foods and eating in the morning never really makes me feel that great anyway. After consulting with Healthy Olga, I found to my disappointment that breakfast is still important but to my delight it does not have to be typical or heavy.
Why is breakfast so important to a weight loss program?
The first “meal” at the beginning of the day jumpstarts your metabolism and seems to set the metabolic tone for the rest of the day. That’s why it’s important to a weight loss program.
